EU Elections 2009 (update 12.48am)

UKIP have so far (as of 12:48am)got 6 MEPs (2 in Eastern, 1 in East Midlands, 1 in London, 1 in North West and 1 in Wales.

UKIP will probably get a good amount of seats in both the South East and South West regions, since they are very strong Tory areas. Labour as with the local council elections are doing poorly in retaining seats, which does not look good for Brown, with increasing support for him to resign.

The BNP unfortunately got a seat in Yorkshire and Humber despite actually getting less votes than they did in 2004.

The Elections counting aint over yet, so we'll have to wait and see the FULL results of these elections.

British workers strike in protest of foreign workers taking their jobs

When Gordon Brown made a speech on how he pledged that British jobs were for British workers back in June 2007, many within the British working class communities saw this with possible delight or possible suspicion.

Today revealed that 19 sites across the UK, British workers were protesting on how they are being sidelined for cheaper foreign labour from countries such as Poland, Portugal and Italy. Possibly due to the recession and credit crunch it is somewhat understandable that these companies may have to cut corners in areas to kept float in means whether redundancies or in this case replacing labour with cheaper labour.

This incident has a deeper hole than just labour and trade union issues, but with the general feeling that the working class especially the British white working class feeling abandoned by the Labour government. This general feeling causes many withing the working class to support and vote BNP and the tabloid press go on the crusade for speaking on half of the repressed working class.

The Sun paper sales drops below 3 million.

While most if not all of Britain's papers have seen decreased circulation in some form, due to the internet being a more efficient way to get the latest up to date news. The Sun strikes as the most affected in this drop, as quoted by the link above.
"The Sun posted the biggest month-on-month drop in circulation – down 4.81%, to 2,899,310 copies."

There are possible factors in why this has occured:
* More people are looking at The Sun website, in which with the internet is easier to provide with the latest news and updates.
* People are sick of the sensationalism and jingoism of The Sun in several areas such as Crime, the EU and terrorism.
* People generally tend to think of The Sun's journalism as medicore at best.

Despite the low price to buy The Sun (20-30p on weekdays), its not enough to combat the decrease in sales.

Predictions for 2009

As 2008 as been a hectic year in terms of politics and the recession and other things, what will be in store for the United Kingdom in 2009 A.D??

On the subject of the EU Elections, UKIP will probably make some increases in votes in certain areas, though not as much as in the 2004 EU Elections. The BNP may get 1 or 2 MEPs, but they will have to suck up to the other nationalist parties in the EU such as the Front National and Vlaams Belang.

On US Politics, When Obama officially enters the White House on 20th January 2009, there will be high hopes from all sectors of US society that change will come, though this will unlikely be anything big and Obama will probably not be re-elected come 2012.

On the economy, Im guessing job losses will continue throughout 2009, mostly occuring in the first half of 2009. The economy could start to grow back from the 3Q/4Q of 2009, but wont be back to pre-recession levels til late 2010/early 2011.

On Technology, The rumoured iPhone Nano may come out in Feb/Mar 09, though I would prefer to get an iPod Touch as I really have a mobile (SE K800i) . Also the netbook laptops will become more popular among the bargain hunter techies.

Noakes was one of the four candidates to become UKIP leader, after Roger Knapman stood down.
Noakes agenda was to have UKIP be completly focused on getting out of the EU, which UKIP has been stereotyped by the main 3 parties as being a single issue party.

Farage was elected instead, and since then UKIP has become more broaden with its policies, on domestic issues and yet still supporting the UK leaving the EU. This has given UKIP more members and more media coverage, and UKIP have been getting better results overall in local elections, placing 3rd or even in some cases 2nd or close to 2nd.

Many UKIP members and supporters will see Noakes as the old UKIP image of "just getting out of the EU" and not wanted in the UKIP party today.

There are several possible reasons for this:

43% of Conservative Party members see UKIP as the party (other than Tory)which is closest to their political views. It was 8 months ago that David Cameron slammed UKIP for being "fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists". Cameron did this in order to make UKIP look bad, but however the opposite effect is happening as many Tories are defecting to UKIP because of Cameron's changes to the Conservative Party e.g. making it more pro-EU, making it more pro-multiculturalist.

At this rate, it will look like the Tories will not win the 2009/2010 General Election.
Im sure Cameron will probably change the name of the party soon to fit with his views.

Its seems that UKIP have been doing better in by-elections recently coming 3rd or even 2nd. Soon maybe UKIP will start WINNING council seats and running local councils.
This surge is because of several possibilites:
1) The increase in UKIP being in the media since Farage was elected leader
2) The increasing effect that the Conservative Party is starting to turn to the left.
3) UKIP starting to take local issues most seriously and not using the one issue approach on getting out of the EU.

If UKIP keeps this up then it will look good for the 2007 local elections.

It is kind of disturbing on how when someone of an ethnic background dies under either police custody or being chased by the police like which started off the 3 week Paris riot in France in 2005, the ethnic youth have to riot all over just to act "ghetto" and "make Paris/Brussels black/Arab".

The riots in Brussels started when a 25 year old of North African origin died under police custody, though no signs of violence was shown on the person. Nevertheless up to 100 youths all of North African origin rioted in Central Brussels smashing shop windows, throwing rocks at the police and pedestrians. 30 people were arrested.

So what is the problem? The government? The ethnics themselves?
My answer is both:
The Belgian government doesnt seem to show a hardline on immigration or crime commited by ethnics. The far-right party Vlamms Belang is steadily getting more support in Belgium especially in the Flemish Flanders region and could gain big in October's local elections.
The ethnics in Belgium, but in Brussels especially dont seem to want to become Belgian citizens, they want to keep their Islamic values and try to pollute them into Belgian values. The area where the ethnics live is mostly deliect and run down and they dont seem to care, as the ethnic youths tend to make the areas "ghettos" or "no-go areas to other especially Whites"

If this continues then there could be ethnic rioting in Britain similar to the Bradford riots in 2001

Tories spend £40,000 on a scribbled Tree Logo

The Conservative Party changed their logo from the old blue hand with Torch with flames of the colours of the Union Jack to a scribbled oak tree.
The move was to make the Tory party be seen as more green and no longer associated with its Thatcherite past. However many people within the Conservative Party dislike the logo saying it "looks like it was done by a 3 year old".
This is another example of Cameron using his liberal methods on the Tory Party and trying to make the party into a party of all kinds.

In my opinion, The party should no longer be known as the Conservative Party as there is very little if anything Conservative about the Conservative Party. The Tories may as well merge with the Liberal Democrats if Cameron keeps on going the same way, he has been.

Crime cover up at Notting Hill Carnival

Each year during the August Bank Holiday, for 2 days the Notting Hill Carnival takes place around the Notting Hill area to celebrate only not Afro-Caribbean culture, but the "joys" of Multiculturalism in London.

It seems that despite the image that the Government and the leftie Mayor Red Ken try to provide that the Carnival is a celebration of multi-culturalism. When the sad truth is that crime is often quite common especially during the evening, when they says gangs of youths mostly black target party goers and mug them in groups of 40-50 at a time.

There were 2 murders this year ,Abdul Bhatti and Greg Watson both victims of the gangs that roam the area during the carnival.
It seems that these murders were quietly played down, in order not to make it look like that the Notting Hill Carnival is a place full of crime.

Overall, the Notting Hill Carnival is just another place of multiculturalist propaganda by the Labour government. I doubt they would support a Cockney Festival in London.

It seems that the influence of Islam is spreading to White and Black communities with many whites and blacks converting to Islam, especially young people.
One of the 11 muslims charged within connection of a plot to blow up transaltantic airlines was a black convertee known as Umar Islam who was previously known as Brian Young. One of the 7/7 suicide bombers was Germaine Lindsay ,a Jamaican man who also converted to Islam.

Is the rising numbers of young people from these backgrounds converting to Islam just a phase, or a cunning plan by Muslim extremists to recruit non-Asians to Islam to make it easier to carry out terrorist attacks against Britain and the West.
Many feel that the western way of life is too corrupt and this persuades people to convert to Islam, however some are just jumping from one form of corruption to another.

If this continues, then Britain may become a Islamic state much quicker than originally planned and the support of Islamic values such as Sharia Law and Halal food will become norm in Britain.

UKIP came third in this by-election, which is becoming a more common sight in by-elections in which UKIP has gotten more votes than either Labour, Or the Conservatives or the Lib Dems. The Lib Dems got less votes than the Save Chase Farm group which already has 2 councillors in the area.
The Conservatives only managed to hold their majority by 3 votes, from Labour.

If UKIP can keep this up, then they may become the 3rd party in UK Politics, replacing the Europhile Lib Dems.

The groups on the left such as RESPECT and SWP(Socialist Workers Party) seem to have in recent times been supporting the Muslim community in discrimnation after 7/7 and are against the Iraq War.
While this may seem like just typical leftist policies.Both the SWP and RESPECT have in recent times been under influence from Islamists, as many of the people who are members of RESPECT are Muslims with Islamist views (anti-gay,anti-women, pro-sharia).This is the opposite of the traditional left view on tolerance for women and gays. It seems that the Islamists are exploiting the Anti-war movement groups such as SWP and RESPECT for their own purposes.

I ask is this what the "NEW LEFT" is going to be like, supporting an Islamist state in Britain where Sharia law would dominate?

Labour + Tories = Sleaze Duo

The Tories under Major between 1990-1997 were accused of being sleazy e.g. scandals involving Tory MPs having affairs and using money for unauthorised activites.
Blair and Labour in 1997 claimed that they would be sleaze free and claimed they would be whiter than white.
But this year, The Cash for Peerages scandal in which people who loaned or donated money to the Labour Party were given iseatsn the House of Lords and given peerages.

The Tories' sleaze didnt really affect the public(affairs and using money for foreign trips). as much as Labour's sleaze which is all about the perversion of democratic government; matters of great importance to the public being cooked up behind closed doors.

Lets hope Labour lose in the 2009 elections.

One of my committments is to set up a UKIP Youth Movement very quickly upon being elected Party leader. I have at least 20 young people wishing to take part and I would welcome ideas from them and other UKIP members as to how we may appeal to the young. I agree, we should not necessarily liberalise and I am open to suggestions.

In the past we have done too little by way of promoting the Party to people under the age of 40 and often much is to do with the way the message is communicated rather than the message itself. I would be interested in receiving any ideas you may have.

Which to-be UKIP leader is best for UKIP Youth?

The leadership for UKIP leader is getting under way, with the results being announced on September 12th 2006, and the official acceptance being on October 7th 2006.

But out of the 4 would-be UKIP leaders, which one is the best for UKIP Youth and young supporters of UKIP?

In my view I would say Richard Suchorzewski (who is currently chairman of UKIP Wales), is the candidate that is likely to include the youth more in UKIP , as he is one of the younger members of UKIP, as most UKIP members/supporters tend to be 50 or over.
He seems to be the only candidate out of the 4 interested in getting the UKIP Youth Movement up and running.
So I urge all of those younger members of UKIP to vote Richard Suchorzewski for leader of UKIP in August/September

A year after 7/7, has the British Government learnt anything?

Today, is the first anniversary of the London Bombings in which 4 British born Islamists blew themselves up killing 52 people in the Underground and Buses.

But has the British Government done anything since then? It seems that the Labour Government wants to "Have their cake and eat it" meaning, that while they seem to want to combat Islamist extremism, but they dont want to villianise the whole Muslim community.
But this makes the Islamist radicals in the UK, think that they can promote their hatred for the UK and its values, e.g the London protests against the Danish Muhammad cartoons, where muslim extremists had placards saying "Europe will get their 9/11" and yet the police had just let them protest their anti-british hatred on the streets of London.
It seems that Labour are putting the rights of Islamist extremists before the rights of British people.
If this keeps carrying on, Britain may suffer another Islamist attack and many more innocent people will die, because of Labour's PC policies on Islamic Terrorists.

UKIP got third palce in the Bromley by-election, which is good, but however I felt that UKIP could have got a higher percentage of the vote like more than 15%, than the 8.1% they got in the by-election, though it is a 4.9% increase from the general election in 2005, where they got 3.2% in Bromley.
The Tories majority was sunk from 13,342 in 2005 to 633 in the by-election.
It seems that the Conservatives are losing support in their strongholds to the Liberal Democrats mostly, possibly due to the Cameronites having a big influence in the Conservative Party. Bob Neill, who was the candidate for Bromley was a europhile, was the former late Eric Forth was a "c"onservative eurosceptic.
This shows that putting Nu-Tories like Neill does not help the Tories in their traditional strongholds.

Telegraph editor backs UKIP

Simon Heffer, who is the Associate Editor of the Daily Telegraph, has in the past few days shown his support for Nigel Farage in the Bromley by-election on the 29th June.
This is a welcome move seen by most UKIP members/supporters, as many people who read the Telegraph(sometimes nicknamed the TORYgraph) are UKIP supporters or at least eurospectics. Although the Telegraph mostly supports the Conservative Party, the introduction of Cameron's "Nu-Tory" europhile image, has influenced some of the editors such as Heffer to support UKIP, due to UKIP's view on EU withdrawal and right wing views.

Who knows, If UKIP win the Bromley by-election on Thursday, then more people will see UKIP as a party worth supporting/joining and will ditch the Tories.

OK, maybe the Labour Government has admitted, trying to impress the mostly Eurosceptic UK Population, that the EU is a good thing for britain was a failure.
But however the Labour Government still plan to support the proposed EU Constitution, despite it already been rejected by the French and Dutch last year.
The Conservatives under Cameron, have not gone on their promise to get the Conservatives MEPs out of the EPP group. Following David Cameron's remarks on UKIP being "fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists" many within his own party are shocked at his remarks.
Could the reason Cameron made those remarks was to undermine UKIP in the May 4 local elections, as many people who voted UKIP in the 2004 EU Elections were Tory voters, who were sick of the Conservative Party's view on the EU.

I arrived at 11.55am, where I was greeted by Gerrard Batten MEP, and then I had a conservation with some UKIP members on the UK and EU Constitution.
Then at 12.10pm, Several Speakers including Batten and David Lamb, David Campbell-Bannerman and Linda Guest spoke on how to make UKIP stronger, then after that it was open discussion, where various people around the room had things to say on UKIP, including myself, which I said I was one of the few students who was an OPEN UKIP supporter and I told the audience, that I would try and open a UKIP Society at university, which alot of the People at the meeting liked and several people gave me their contact details.
Afterwards I talked to Delroy Young, One of the candidates for UKIP NEC and several other members before leaving around 3pm.

They will have two (2) 40 foot banners protesting the continuation of the toll at the crossing. There is parking at Jct 1A. At this point it seems that BBC Breakfast, BBC South, Meridian and Radio Kent may be there. One of the critical decision points will be how many demonstrators plan on showing up. Havant Borough Council has removed the word ‘Christmas’ from its 2005/6 Christmas and New lights. The lights – to be turned on in early December, 2005 – have been re-named “The Festival of Lights”. The local authority claims ‘Christmas’ will offend those of non-Christian religions.

The only elected member of Havant Borough to vote against the proposal to drop the Christmas theme from the £5, 000 lights was David Gillett (the council leader) who said he intended to work very hard to stop the same thing happening next year (2006).

Followers of non-Christian faiths – including local Hindu worshippers condemned Havant Borough Council’s decision. A member of the Hindu Council UK said that Christmas should not be removed as a theme for the lights. She also said that Havant Borough Council’s new name for the Christmas lights (‘The Festival of Lights’ was actually also the name of a Hindu festival (the feats of Diwali) which is celebrated on 1st November each year.

A few days before the council decided to ignore Christmas, the Meridian Shopping Centre in Havant shut down its Santa’s Grotto (organised by Havant Lions Charity), claiming it was a fire hazard. The Grotto has raised thousands of Pounds over the last 10 Christmases and its closure has upset many local people.
