UKIP membership increased by 1,000 since September

The total membership of UKIP has increased from 16,000 in September to 17,000 today.
There are several possible reasons for this:
* Since Nigel Farage was elected UKIP leader in September, UKIP has gotten more media coverage
* The Conservatives new image have encouraged "traditional Tories" to defect to UKIP.
